Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: How many patients have you had success with?
A: Our practice has very high patient return rate compared to the average. Our patients return to us because they trust in our expertise and trust us with their healthcare. Out of the patients that continue the course of treatments as prescribed, almost all notice improvement of their condition whether it is minor or major.

Q: What's the average wait time if a patient wants an appointment ASAP?
A: We do our very best to fit our patients in as early as possible. We work diligently to be able to offer same day appointments if our schedule allows. We can usually offer a same week appointment at the latest.

Q: What sets your practice apart from the others in your area?
A: We offer both acupuncture and chiropractic services. Many of our patients benefit from both, especially for pain and musculoskeletal conditions. Our acupuncturist and chiropractor have great expertise and experience providing care in the DMV area and have been working together for several years. And our location is perfect for everyone who has different ways of commuting. The office is very close (short walking distance) from the Metro Line and Bus Line. We also have free parking space available for those who drive.

Q: How does your expertise in your field stand out?
A: We have diverse experience in patient care ranging from hospital setting, integrative medicine primary care setting, and private practice setting. Our chiropractor has worked in everything from community health care clinics, medical offices and sidelines on athletic fields. She has additional training and expertise in both pregnancy and postpartum work, as well as sports medicine.

Q: What is the average number of recommended visits?
A: Everyone responds differently to chiropractic and the prognosis depends on the individual and underlying conditions. Typically, we start a little more frequently to begin with in an effort to retrain the body and get the patient out of pain. From there, the goal is to taper down as the patient improves and builds strength in an effort to maintain long-lasting, positive results. The average number of visits depends on the patient, the diagnosis and prognosis and is unique to each individual.

Q: What results can your patients expect after their first few visits?
A: They can expect to feel some relief that can last hours to days. Patients are prescribed exercises and stretches specific to their complaint to help with any soreness or discomfort that may arise after initial treatments (if any). It is important to note treatments have a cumulative effect and we work for long-term results. It is important for our patients to stick with the treatment plan provided by the practitioner.

Q: What insurance companies are you in-network with?

A: We are in-network providers with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna and United Healthcare. For all others we charge a cash rate and are happy to offer superbills that you can submit to your insurance for possibly reimbursement (based on your specific policy and plan).
